New Story, New Side-Kicks, Same Relentlessness!
Reacher Season 4 kicked off Aug. 12 with Amazon dropping the first three episodes for fans to watch. Alan Ritchson returns in the role that really put him on the map and if you loved the first 3 seasons, season 4 doesn’t disappoint at least so far.
Reacher’s typically new season reset, which generally brings in a new set of circumstances and characters for our main character drifter to interact with is again the formula for the new season.
New faces Sydella Noel, Christopher Marquette and Russell Plum play Tamara, Jacob and Russell respectively. Two cops and an investigative journalist, who are unlikely paired with Reacher after being pulled into his need for information.
You may have seen Noel in GLOW, Black Panther and Arrow.
Marquette was in Barry, Hawaii Five O and The Girl Next Door
and Plum you’ve seen in Alias, Marvel’s Runaways and Scorpion.
Relative new comer Agnez Mo plays Reacher love interest Lila Hoth and is best known as an R&B singer.
Charismatic Congressman John Sampson is played by Marc Blucas who was also in Buffy The Vampire Slayer and First Daughter.
SHOW SYNOPSIS AND SPOILER BELOW
Season 4 begins when Reacher encounters Anna Merrick, a distressed Pentagon employee, on a Philadelphia subway. She suddenly shoots herself, but Reacher quickly suspects it wasn’t an ordinary suicide: Anna’s son Ben is missing, federal agents are interested in her final moments, and multiple groups attack Reacher searching for a mysterious flash drive.
Reacher teams up with Philadelphia detective Tamara Green, Anna’s brother Jacob, and journalist Russell Plum. They uncover evidence that Anna was not merely an HR clerk—she had Level 8 security clearance and was involved in something far more classified. Ben’s disappearance and the murder of a woman connected to him suggest the conspiracy is escalating.
A major lead is Lila, who initially claims to have leukemia and says Congressman John Sampson is her biological father. She later admits she is actually investigating Sampson’s alleged involvement in atrocities during a 1990s Delta Force operation in Indonesia. Reacher confirms Sampson is hiding something politically sensitive, though Lila’s story is also full of lies.
The CIA abducts Reacher, Tamara, and Jacob, believing they possess Anna’s drive. They escape, but it becomes clear that both the CIA and another armed faction are willing to kill to recover whatever Anna knew.
So far, the season is setting up a conspiracy involving classified military secrets, CIA operations, Sampson’s political ambitions, and Anna’s hidden role.
New Episodes of Reacher season 4 drop on Amazon on Wednesdays and will consist of 8 episodes.
