With SPIDER-MAN Brand New Day tracking to open at $800 Million, for the first time since 2019, we are on track to have more than 3 Billion dollar movies at the annual box office.

IN FACT, There's an outside chance 2026 Matches 2019 with 9 BILLION Dollar Movies if theater goers can maintain their interest with the slate of movies coming up over the next 5 months.

2026 will see a guaranteed 5 Billion dollar movies thanks to SPIDERMAN & DOOMSDAY alone, but with DUNE 3 not only being the final movie of the series, plus a part of the DUNESDAY theater attendance event that is growing, plus Dune Part 2 alone brought in more than $700M, there is a good chance it breaks $1B as well.

JUMANJI: OPEN WORLD is the most recent since 2019 JUMANJI: THE NEXT LEVEL, which brought in more than $800M behind JUMANJI: WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE which nearly broke $1B back in 2017. After a 7 year Hiatus the movie going audience is primed for a Billion Dollar comedy especially with the production bringing back all the main players. Open World was originally scheduled to release with DUNESDAY, but they were smart to make the movie to Christmas Day.

DIGGER is being touted as The Greatest TOM CRUISE MOVIE Ever... Or at least the one we've wanted the most and waited the longest since his secret portrayal as Les Grossman in Tropic Thunder. While not Grossman, and with a narrow chance of make $1B, audiences my still show up in droves to see his old man portrayal and if he pulls off a Les Grossman memorable portrayal, expect the whole world to want to see this one.

THE HUNGER GAMES: SUNRISE ON THE REAPING is a 30 to 1 longshot, but with the studio exploring the long desired reaping of Woody Harrelson's character Haymitch, this might bring original fans out of the woodwork that helped make THE HUNGER GAMES a $3 Billion franchise. Out of the theater world of mouth will be critical to this movie making a Billion and while it's incredibly unlikely, the possibility is there.

After Covid and streaming nearly destroyed it, it looks like 2026 is turning out to be the year that theater's are back!
